About

Why this exists.

A one-person studio in Irvine, California, building websites for businesses that are better than their current website suggests.

The story

The work was good. The website wasn't.

Most small businesses get one of two websites. Either a template with their logo dropped into someone else's layout, or nothing at all, and the whole business runs out of an Instagram bio.

Both cost the same thing. A customer arrives, cannot tell whether the business is serious, and leaves. I kept seeing it happen to people whose actual work was excellent, and it is a stupid reason to lose a customer.

That is what ERG Enterprises is for. Not websites in general. Websites for the business that is already good and is being let down by how it looks online.

Philosophy

Why nothing here starts from a template.

A template is designed for nobody in particular. It has to fit a dentist and a bakery and a law firm, so it flattens whatever is specific about you, which is the only thing worth showing.

It also carries the weight of every feature you are not using. That is why template sites feel slow, and slow is where customers give up, on a phone in a queue or on a laptop at a desk.

Every project starts with a blank page… not a template. Every layout, interaction, and detail is crafted specifically for your brand, creating a website that feels distinctive, timeless, and entirely your own.

The design follows the same rule. Real photography instead of stock. Type with a point of view. Heavy negative space, one accent at most. If a page feels wrong, something comes out before anything goes in.

Process

How I work with clients.

Five stages, in order, every time. You always know which one we are in and what is waiting on you.

  1. Discovery

Learning the business, who actually buys from it, and the one thing the site has to do. Nothing gets designed before this is settled, because a beautiful site pointed at the wrong action is a waste of both our time.

  2. Strategy

The single action the site is built around, and what a stranger needs to believe before they take it. Anything that does not serve that gets cut here, while cutting is still free.

  3. Design

A visual direction built for this brand and no other. You see it and approve it before a single line of code is written. Two rounds of changes are included here, which is where changes are cheap.

  4. Development

Built by hand, section by section. No page builder, no bought theme, nothing loaded in that does not need to be there. You get a live link to watch it come together.

  5. Launch

Tested on real phones, tuned for speed, and put live on a domain registered in your name. The code is yours the day it ships, and small fixes are covered for two weeks after.

Photography and video

The other half of the job.

Before websites, I shot photography and video, mostly automotive and editorial work around Orange County. That has not stopped, and it is not a side business. It is the rest of the same one.

A site is only as good as what goes on it. Handing a designer a folder of stock images is how a good business ends up looking like every other business. So if the photography does not exist yet, I shoot it, and it gets shot knowing exactly where on the page it has to sit.

That is the practical argument too. One person shooting and building means the images fit the layout the first time, instead of three freelancers negotiating over email.

What I offer
A black BMW M3 with polished wheels parked on an empty desert road under an open sky
Black and white photograph of a couple dancing on the shoreline, the man turning her under his arm
A coastal golf course and the open ocean seen from a balcony, framed by a stone balustrade
Straight answers

What you can expect from me.

Emily seated in a fashion boutique, checking her phone, a rail of clothing behind her

A reply within one business day, every time, including the days there is nothing new to report.

A price agreed before the work starts and an invoice that matches it. No hourly, no scope creep arriving as a surprise line item.

If something will not work, I say so while it is still cheap to change, not after it is built.
